Why Ravelry is a knitter's best friend

If you are a knitter you have to know about Ravelry.
It's sincerely the best internet invention after Facebook.
Ravelry is sort of like Facebook, but for knitters.

You must create an account first and only people with accounts can log in and view your profile.
In your profile, instead of putting selfies in your bikini (if you are a teenager) or a gizzillion photos of your child (if you are in your late twenties), you put pictures of your knitted or crocheted projects. You can find  a million patterns and a lot of them are free! You can use paypal to pay for patterns that are not free and most patterns are under 8$.
You can see other people's work who knitted the pattern. So if you see that most project are not that well executed... It's probably because the pattern is hard. And most people put how much yarn they used and how long it took them. This also gives you a good idea before starting a new project.
You can also contact people and ask them for help on a pattern or on a variation of the pattern.
Sincerely if you are a knitter and you don't know about Ravelry, don't waste another minute and go sign up. I forgot to tell you, the best part is that it's free!

Happy knitting!
